We have been updating this site regularly and it will continue to grow in the coming months. Our official GRAND OPENING was June 25, 2011 after spending just about the last 5 years in Lockport.

171’s Wasted Youth is here to provide the best body mod services and art Illinois has to offer. We do custom tattooing & expert professional body piercing. Our state of the art studio is on the cutting edge for appearance, accessibility, and sanitation. We pride our selves in being the cleanest studio around. Our artists are trained in Bloodborne Pathogen, Principles of Infection Control, 1st aid, Cpr and Aed.

Our studio well exceeds the minimum health standards set by the State of Illinois, APP and APT. We practice aseptic technique and use all standard precautions in our procedures. The studio has a modern processing facility and collects documentation for all pre sterilized items.

Our Tattoo end is fully disposable(single use needles, tubes, inks, barriers), and uses new barriers and drapes on all stationary items. The artists at Wasted Youth work really hard to give you a clean safe tattoo, that you will want to show off for years. Our artists are not filled with pretentious attitude, instead they enjoy working with you to create a one of a kind piece of art that both of you can be proud of.

Our piercing ends practices traditional and free hand piercing techniques, utilizes Statim autoclaves to sterilize your jewelry and set up in the room with you there. We only Pierce high grade body jewelry in only implant grade materials (primarily Titanium), that meet APP standards in materials and are Internally threaded or thread-less . The availability of in house anodizing for all Titanium jewelry gives you almost endless possibilities of colors and patterns. Our Piercers are 2nd to none for knowledge and bed side manor, rest assured that you will be in safe hands here.

It's time for a long overdue update!

It is time for a quick update. Fall is upon us as summer has come to an end. We can say we had a great summer here at Wasted Youth, lots of awesome tattoos were done and many gorgeous, tricked out piercings left on happy clients. EMAIL HAS BEEN DOWN. NOW FIXED!

Our old site www.suburban171.com has been used to redirect traffic here. It went down on Friday and took till last night to catch the error. We have lost all of our emails that came through that site and this is what our artists use as their daily email. 3rd Update

This will be the last numbered blog, haha. Ryan Granrath's pages are now up and running. I will be working on Cleaning up Carli's page and will be adding to the piercing pages in the next few days. After that we will be working getting the online store up. Now time to sleep.
